In November 2015, Jacob Young (graduate of BYUI) visited the David Eccles School of Business and put on a Digital Marketing & Analytics Workshop. Mr. Young guided us through the ins and outs of SEO and SEM. One of the cool free resources available to see what topics are booming currently is Google Trends.
In February 2015, Chris Shipley (former MBA student at the David Eccles School of Business) came and spoke with the Marketing Club about sales. It was a great opportunity to have an alumni share his industry and background knowledge. He told us to know our audience, learn how to approach people (whether soft, hard, etc), and create a vision/value for the customer.
